Northwoods NETS is honored to announce that Governor Mark Dayton has signed a proclamation naming Sunday, November 10, 2013 as NET Cancer Awareness Day for the third year in a row. Worldwide, November 10th is recognized by patients, medical professionals and advocacy groups to raise awareness for this rare, complex and frequently misdiagnosed form of cancer. It was pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer that claimed the life of entrepreneur Steve Jobs in 2011. There are 125,000 neuroendocrine cancer patients in the U.S. alone, with 11,000 cases diagnosed yearly.
