Medication Costs

Sometimes we have medications that can be cost-prohibitive. Here are some resources to find ways to help pay for your medications.

GoodRx this is a great program if your health insurance doesn’t cover your prescriptions. GoodRx works with pharmacies all over to help provide patients with cost-effective ways to get their meds. They have a free plan that works for many medications and a paid “Gold” membership which gives you expanded access to medications and, in some cases, lower prices.

Mark Cuban Cost Plus is a welcome addition to the prescription medication game. While Cost Plus doesn’t have every single medication at the time of this writing, they add new ones all the time. In some cases, their prices are even lower than GoodRx. It pays to shop around.

Novartis Patient Co-Pay Assistance has helped countless neuroendocrine cancer patients afford their Sandostatin LAR, Afinitor, and other drugs. Their assistance usually helps to cover your copays and out-of-pocket expenses.

Ipsen Cares is a patient co-pay assistance program that helps patients afford their lanreotide shots.
